ORANGE POLICE LOGSNovember 1 - 8, 2024Friday, Nov. 1

1:36 p.m. - Female party into the station advising she lost her wallet while at Walmart. She has already reported it to them and wants it on record with the PD in case it is turned in. She was advised to cancel her credit/debit cards and if they are used to contact the PD so they can look at footage as to who used them.

2:28 p.m. - Reporting party from E. River Street, stated that when he returned home from the hospital, he found his residence to “have been gone through.” He is missing $2,000, a few blank checks, and medication. Referred to an officer.

3:32 p.m. - Party from Horton Road reports he received a call from ”Officer Baker - badge 0515” from the FCSO claiming that he didn’t show up for court and that he would need to turn himself in or pay $3,500. When the caller told the officer he didn’t have the money, the officer began swearing at the caller and told him he would “blow his brains out.” The caller stated he then called the FCSO and they told him they don’t have anyone that works there with that name and that it was a scam and to report it to the police. The caller does not want an officer to call him, he just wants it documented.

Saturday, Nov. 2

6:53 p.m. - Call from Gibbs Court looking to reach Fire Department due to neighbors having a large bonfire at the corner of East Main and Gibbs Court. Stated she had concerns due to it being a “tight” residential neighborhood. Fire extinguished.

10:07 p.m. - Noise complaint on Eagleville Road. Reporting party states upon addressing the noise with the neighbor, they became verbally harassing and had followed her back to her house. Party did leave shortly after that. Music not loud upon officer’s arrival, advised them of the complaint. Neighbor stated they were wrapping up for the night.

Sunday, Nov. 3

1:10 a.m. - Caller reporting there is a vehicle parked in the school lot. He is concerned due to the history of break-ins and vandalism. Male and female were found to be engaging in adult activity. They were advised to move along and did so without issue.

6:35 p.m. - Reporting party states near Herricks Tavern on Route 202 there are a lot of cows in the road. Called and spoke with possible owner who stated she would contact her son regarding the matter. Officers responded and assisted with traffic control while the animals were returned to their pens.

Monday, Nov. 4

7:48 a.m. - Reporting party from Pine Hill Road looking for something to be done about the ongoing cow issue in his neighborhood. Officer responded and spoke with the reporting party and the owner of the two bulls. Reporting party showed his displeasure about the bulls in his yard to the bull owner and officer advised him of possible charges for destruction of property.

4:35 p.m. - Walk-in to the station reporting that his packages said they were delivered, but they are not at his house on E. River Street. He spoke with neighbors who claimed they did not see any packages and there are no cameras in the area. Reporting party was advised to call the company to see if they will resend his order and ask the post office to hold onto his packages in the future. Report issued.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

6:18 p.m. - Reporting party advises he was involved in a two-car crash in front of Cumberland Farms. He will be in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms waiting for an officer. Upon officer’s arrival, vehicle 2 was turning right onto E. Main Street off of Mechanic Street. Vehicle 1 was struck by vehicle 2 while traveling west bound on E. Main Street. Minor damage noted to the rear of the passenger’s side of vehicle 1 and driver’s side front bumper of vehicle 2. Parties exchanged information.

11:04 p.m. - Calling party reports a large bear gained access to her chicken coop on Prescott Lane and killed some of her chickens. The caller was concerned that someone will get attacked by the bear. She stated “it was bigger than anything anyone has ever seen.” Bear was spotted on Enfield Drive attacking another coop. Mass Environmental Police have been notified of both incidents.

Friday, Nov. 8

6:14 a.m. - Calling party reports there are lights on in the school. It is vacant and the lights aren’t normally on. First floor hallway light is on, otherwise building is secure and in order.

11:29 a.m. - Caller reporting boss tried to serve a no trespass notice and male and female are trying to fight her. On arrival, the manager of Cumberland Farm’s advised she tried to serve no trespass paperwork and they became irate and upset. She advised that male refused to take his. Both were advised of the trespass order and advised if they violate they are subject to arrest. They didn’t agree with being trespassed and were advised to contact cooperate. Report taken.
