Orange Police Log: Oct. 8-9, 2021

Friday, Oct. 8

3:05 p.m. – East River Street caller reported their Social Security money being stolen by their PCA (Personal Care Assistant). Report taken.

5:05 p.m. – Patrol officer observed subject that had two warrants for arrest sitting in a vehicle at River Market. Upon being taken into custody, a charge of possession of a controlled substance was added.

8:29 p.m. – Officers mediated a disturbance complaint from Whitney Street. Ongoing issue with tenants on first floor. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone, and to utilize the police and the courts to resolve any issues that arise.

10:40 p.m. – East Main Street caller reported a disturbance between three males (description of 2 out of the 3 provided) that appeared to be fighting, possibly intoxicated. One headed towards Cumberland Farms. One subject was located by police in town and admitted to a physical altercation with a friend that had since left the scene. Declined medical assistance and would provide no further details. Police checked the area, but the other involved party could not be located.

Saturday, Oct. 9

9:31 a.m. – Lobby walk-in reported being harassed via text. Harassment Protection Order (258E) options explained and understood, but reporting party wanted the incident to be on the record.

1:44 p.m. – Motorcycle and motor vehicle accident reported at Tully Road. Both vehicles towed from the scene and report filed.

5:18 p.m. – A call from a Congress Street residence about a person (description provided) who came to residence to use the phone, claiming they had been beaten up and “just wanted to get home,” but then left the residence before anyone arrived and headed up Congress Street. Police located the subject, who was intoxicated, yelling and threatening another male party that lives on Cheney Street, resulting in a disorderly conduct arrest and disturbing the peace.
