Orange Police Log: Dec. 31, 2022 to Jan. 6, 2023

Saturday, December 31

12:44 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in reported a motor vehicle use without authority (plate number and driver information provided). Reporting party stated vehicle was lent for a job purpose only, but never returned home since December 29th. BOLO issued.

2:19 p.m. – Police investigated a suspicious activity call from E Main Street where caller reported three males (description given) had left what appeared to be a rifle on neighbor’s steps, then one ran back and retrieved the rifle. Police located the subjects nearby with a BB gun. They were told not to walk the streets carrying a BB gun, and they agreed.

10:10 p.m. – Female party turned in a credit card found in the center of town.

Monday, January 2

11:29 a.m. – Larceny reported from Tully Road. Male party reported his catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle the previous night. Waiting on possible camera footage from neighbor.

7:07 p.m. – Call from E Main Street for officer assistance. An involved party claimed they were not given their medication and the staff had shut the door on them. Police spoke with the staff who said they were in a meeting and shut the door as the other involved party was yelling at them. Police mediated the situation and the other involved party was given their medication.

Tuesday, January 3

12:12 p.m. – Lobby walk-in of a party from E River Street who reported that she had several jars of change stolen with the last month.

Wednesday, January 4

5:11 p.m. – Caller from Eagleville Road requested officer assistance with squatters and an unknown male on their property. Upon police arrival allowed inside to take photographs of the home as he is it on the market.

Thursday, January 5

12:28 a.m. – Patrol officers observed two vehicles parked at E Main Street for about 30 minutes. Officers made contact and discovered that one of the vehicles had run out of gas while attempting to use the ATM.

9:57 p.m. – Caller from Daniel Shays Highway reported a robbery. Reporting party had come in and found the doors locked, safe open and money missing and the morning cashier no where to be found. Reporting party had checked with the manager, who advised she had not been in. Police advised the reporting party to secure the area and wait for the officers outside. Report taken.
