Delvena Theatre Company presents “Bon Appetit, Julia”

ATHOL — Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main St., Athol, on Thursday, April 13, from 6–7 p.m., for the Delvena Theatre Company’s performance of “Bon Appetit, Julia.” This is the sequel to Delvena Theatre Company’s ever-popular “Meet Julia Child” show. Set in the late 1980s, the show will give insight into beloved chef Julia Child’s life at that time. Julia will be demonstrating her culinary skills with real ingredients and encouraging help from the audience. This will be an interactive, fun show, and following it, the cast will be available for Q&A.

Lynne Moulton was a big hit as Julia in the “Meet Julia Child” show in 2015 and everyone is looking forward to having her back for their sister show.

The Delvena Theatre Company was founded in 1992 and has performed at various venues. The company was nominated for five Independent Reviewers of New England awards. This library program is supported in part by grants from the Orange and Athol Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, and in part by the Friends of the Athol Public Library.

Vote by mail for April 3 Annual Town Election

ATHOL—Vote by mail ballots are available in the Town Clerk’s Office for the April 3 Annual Town Election. Any registered voter may request a vote by mail ballot for the 2023 Town of Athol’s local election. This application must reach the Town Clerk’s Office by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 27. Voters can submit an application via email to vote@townofathol.org.Applications can also be mailed, hand-delivered or put in the drop box outside of the Town Hall. Real estate bills are due April 3

PETERSHAM—Please make sure the Tax Office has your correct address. Tax bills were mailed out Dec. 29, 2022. Those who have not received their bill shouldcontact the Tax Collector at 978-724-6620.

Lillian’s Way streetlight discussion

ERVING—Residents are invited to a conversation about the streetlights on Lillian’s Way, to be held Wednesday, March 22, at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Lillian’s Way and Northfield Road. The discussion will include potential replacement of broken streetlights as well as whether residents would like to install additional streetlights.

Police and fire department Easter Egg Hunt

ORANGE — The Easter Bunny is coming. Please join the Orange Police and Fire departments in the second annual Easter egg hunt. The Lions Club will be providing free food for all who attend. There will also be special prizes that have been donated by the Pioneer Jr. Womans Club. Also special thanks to Walmart who helped donate Easter eggs. Please remember to bring your own Easter baskets.

Megan Rich named to Elms College’s fall 2022 Dean’s List

CHICOPEE — Megan Rich, of Orange, was named to the College of Our Lady of the Elms fall 2022 Dean’s List. Rich was among 476 students named to the fall 2022 Dean’s List. To qualify, a full-time student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher, without incompletes.
