ATHOL – The 2025 dog licenses for the Town of Athol are available in the Town Clerk’s Office. Dog licenses must be renewed by Feb. 28, or a $15 late fee will be charged. The cost of dog licenses are – male/female, $15; neutered/spayed, $8.
Dog licenses may be obtained through the mail, put in the drop box located in front of the Town Hall or in person at the Town Clerk’s Office. Please send a check payable to the Town of Athol with the required fee and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Proof of rabies vaccination and neutering/spaying is required for all dogs.
Online payment for dogs is now available for dog renewals. Visit unipaygold.unibank.com/default.aspx to pay online. If paying online, a $1 processing fee is included in the fee. Residents who no longer own a previously licensed dog are asked to notify the Town Clerk to avoid late notices and fees.

PHILLIPSTON – The office of State Sen. Peter Durant will hold office hours on Monday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Phillipston Town Hall.
PETERSHAM – National Grid has completed a survey of trees on town property to either be removed or pruned in order to maintain the reliability of main electric distribution lines in Petersham. These trees are mostly on Hardwick, Spring and Popplecamp roads and one on Sunset Lane, and they are identified with red (remove) or blue (prune) flagging. The public is invited for comments at the Selectboard meeting on Thursday, Jan. 16, 5:30 p.m., in the Lower Town Hall
