Saturday Skillcraft returning to Wendell WENDELL — Saturday Skillcraft will return on Oct. 22, at 3:30 p.m. with a whittler’s workshop at the Wendell Free Library.
Children ages 10 and older will practice basic whittling techniques with Shawn Jarrett, while younger kids will have a station to decorate some whittled gnome sticks. Bring your own pocket knife.
Registration is required. Residents can contact the library at 978-544-3559 or staff@wendellfreelibrary.org.
Tech Help Tuesdays offered in Wendell WENDELL — Tech Help Tuesdays are scheduled for the Wendell Free Library on Oct. 25, Nov. 8, and Nov. 22
Residents can bring technology questions to an expert, bring a device they need help with, or get basic tutorials on the library’s computers.
Register in advance for a time slot and give the experts an idea of what type of help you are looking for by emailing staff@wendellfreelibrary.org.
New Salem changes polling location NEW SALEM — The Selectboard voted to change the official polling place from Town Hall to the Town Hall Annex at 24 South Main St.
The change goes into effect immediately, meaning the Oct. 25 special town election and the Nov. 8 state election will be at the Town Hall Annex.
Also, absentee/early ballots were mailed on Monday to everyone who requested one for the state election. Ballots may be returned by mail or via the dropbox in front of Town Hall. Contact Town Clerk Kathy Neal at newsalemsclerk@aol.com with questions.
