WINCHESTER, N.H. — Monadnock Speedway’s scheduled events for Saturday were cancelled due to rain.

This Saturday, the International Supermodified Association (ISMA) will start its season with the Genden Auto Parts ISMA 75 presented by T-Bird Mini Mart. The event will mark the first time in approximately 40 years that the Supermodifieds have raced at Monadnock Speedway.

Legendary driver Bentley Warren, a member of the New England Auto Racers Hall of Fame, will be the grand marshall of the event.

The special event will also include all the weekly divisions of Sportsman Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Lightning Stocks and Young Guns.

Racing will start at 4 p.m. with the ISMA Supermodifieds’ time trials. The competitor with the fastest time trial will receive $1,000, sponsored by Bentley’s Saloon. Shea’s Concrete will also sponsor a special award, giving bonus money to whomever leads at the halfway mark of the feature event.

The main gate will open at 1 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and college students, $15 for kids ages 11-18, and $5 for children 10 and younger. A rain date for the event is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m.
