Mahar continues toward perfection, beats PVRS

ORANGE — The Mahar Middle School girls’ got one step closer to a perfect league record on Thursday afternoon, winning 34-9 over Pioneer Valley Regional. Mahar is now 14-2 on the year and 14-0 within league play.

Natalie Belloli led the team with 11 points, five rebounds and eight steals. Sienna Moore scored five points and added six rebounds. Sophia Woods and Kendrah Doane scored four points each, while Ava Liberty and Julianna Hebert scored two points each. Taylor Soucie, Brooklyn Kennedy and Haylee Allen led the team’s defensive efforts.

Mahar will look to finish the season undefeated in league play today at 4:30 p.m. against Frontier Regional in Orange.
