Athol Lion Joseph Allen was presented the Lion of the Year Award by Club President Charles Pierson Jr. at the year-end awards banquet recently in the Athol American Legion. In addition, Pierson took the opportunity to hand over the president’s gavel to Allen, who is the incoming president for the 2018-19 year which begins July 1. Allen is very active in the Club, participating in numerous projects, and also serves on the District level, on the District 33-A Sight & Hearing Conservation and Treatment Fund (Zone 7), the Environmental Photo Contest committee, and he is a regional representative and driver for the District 33-A Sightmobile.
