Tom Peabody: Hard being conservative in local area

Since Donald Trump won the election, several people have asked if I was going to write a letter to the Recorder. I didn’t want to do a letter that would be considered “gloating, ” so I waited until I had thoughts pertinent to the situation.

On Jan. 20, a winning percentage of Americans will celebrate President Donald Trump taking office again. Conservatism lives as Americans have rejected the far-left liberal agenda being pushed since Barack Obama. It’s hard being a conservative in this area. The constant drivel being spewed by the regular contributors to the Recorder editorial page is tough to read. Seems these people gobble up the far-left bull being spread by the mainstream news media then regurgitate back onto the pages of the Recorder.

That same news media will give President Trump no credit no matter how successful his presidency is. After all, they did to try to keep him from even running for office again; he not only ran but won convincingly. Now I just pray he makes it safely through his term, which I know will be an overwhelming success. God bless Donald J. Trump and God bless America!
