Russell Pirkot: Can’t stand listenting to Trump

I don’t like Donald Trump. What I mean is that I don’t enjoy him as a human being. I’ve never met him, so I can’t say what it’s like to actually be with him in person. But after seeing him speak on television and the radio, and read what he’s had to say in newspapers, I can’t imagine myself enjoying being in his presence. He’s mean and nasty, always critical and complaining, not having specific and informed positive things to say about virtually anything.
And this is in addition to all the crap he spews every single day. This is not the kind of person that I would choose to associate myself with.
I like to spend time with people I find interesting, people that have positive and constructive things to say. I don’t enjoy being around people who are constantly complaining about anything and everything, and not offering intelligent ideas to improve things. And I particularly don’t get anything out of people who don’t take responsibility for ever doing anything wrong or regrettable. We all make mistakes, and if somebody can’t recognize that in himself, I can’t respect or trust him. Donald Trump is that kind of person.
I have absolutely hated listening to virtually everything he’s had to say over the last nine years, and I’m not looking forward to hearing anymore. He seems to love speaking in public, so as long as I’m alive and paying any attention to what’s going on in this country, in this world, I have to end up listening to him. This is not how I want to live for the next four years, and I am so hoping that he never gets back in the White House again.
Please, please, don’t make me have to listen to Donald Trump any longer than necessary. That is my sincere wish.
Russell Pirkot
