Indoor track: Four locals earn first place finishes at PVIAC Meet No. 4

The fourth PVIAC indoor track meet of the season took place on Sunday at Smith College. Athol, Frontier, Greenfield and Pioneer competed in the early meet while Mahar and Mohawk Trail competed in the late meet. 

Warrior Virginia Krezmien came away with a pair of first place finishes, winning the girls 1,000 (three minutes, 31.36 seconds) and the mile (5:47.01). 

Mahar had a pair of winners as well, with Mitchell Krasco taking first in the boys 55 hurdles (8.08) while Stellina Moore won the girls high jump (four feet, 10 inches). Pioneer also had a winner, with Sahana Heilman taking first in the girls long jump (15-6.5). 

Here are the remainder of the top 10 finishers from the area teams: 

Athol

Boys: Ethan Okeke, long jump, 8, 17-2.5.

Girls: Karleigh Chase, shot put, 3, 28-3. 

Frontier

Boys: 4x800, 6, 9:04.66.

Girls: 4x800, 4, 11:13.28.

Greenfield
