Dear PC Doctor:

I have my own Google drive account and I also use an account for an organization I work for. I accidentally started and saved some documents in the wrong account. Is there an easy way to transfer files between Google accounts?

—Thank you, Maria

Dear Maria:

The easiest way is to download the files to your desktop and then upload them to the correct account. To download a Google Drive file, click on it once; the name of the file should highlight in pale blue. Next, right-click, and choose Download from the menu that appears.

To upload the file into the correct account, first log in to the account. Choose Drive, then New File Upload. Choose the file you want to move. Google will confirm Upload Complete when it has succeeded.

I hope this helps! Until next time, Happy Computing!
