In need of a win after a three-game losing streak, the Mahar boys basketball team took care of business on Monday night.

The host Senators stormed out to a 42-13 halftime lead and cruised to a 77-29 victory over Mohawk Trail in a Hampshire League crossover game in Orange.

Four players scored in double figures for Mahar (3-3), led by Hunter Martin’s 16-point, 8-rebound outing. Will Barnes scored 15 points in the win, while Morgan Softic (11 points) and Lucas Isrow (10) joined the double-digit scoring barrage.

The Warriors (0-4) were paced by Sam Thompson’s team-high 14 points. The club heads to Mount Greylock on Thursday while Mahar visits Lenox.
