The Mohawk Trail girls cross country team showed well while hosting Greenfield, McCann Tech and Turners Falls on Tuesday in Buckland.

Warriors Virginia Krezmien (18 minutes, 52.2 seconds), Anya Read (18:52.7) and Natalie Lanoue (19:17) were the first three runners to cross the finish line, leading Mohawk Trail to wins over the Wave (17-38), the Hornets (19-36) and the Thunder (15-50).

Greenfield beat Turners (15-50) but fell to McCann (25-30) while McCann beat the Thunder (15-50).

Mohawk Trail’s Georgia Gauthier (seventh, 23:01) and Ella Thompson (eighth, 23:26) also placed in the top 10. Greenfield’s Alice Fortin placed fifth (21:40) while Rose Fortin came in 10th (23:39) while Turners’ Scharlett Canterbury finished in 13th (25:01).

Sylvie DiBartolomeo came in second (20:16) while Liv Christensen placed fifth (21:24) as the Redhawks earned a trio of wins at Nonotuck Park on Tuesday.

Phoebe Radner came in eighth (22:06), Maia Christensen placed ninth (22:11) and Kali Beam took 10th (22:24) for Frontier.

The Warriors had the top three finishers in Buckland on Tuesday, with Peter Healy (15:22), Carson Richardson (15:33) and Rex Kuoppala the first three runners across the finish line to lead Mohawk Trail to a trio of wins.

Aymeric Loucka came in fifth (16:06), Leo Boltz took ninth (18:14) and Aidan Gauthier earned 10th (18:20) for the Warriors. For Greenfield, Dylan Drewdick took fourth (15:51), Alex Scotera placed sixth (16:54), Mason Youmell came in seventh (17:35) while Javion Williams took eighth (17:51). Turners’ Elliot Thibodeau took 18th (23:28).

PVCICS 5, Franklin Tech 0 — Teddy Scott scored a pair of goals to lead the Dragons past the Eagles in Turners on Tuesday.

PVCICS scored all five of its goals in the first half.

Girls soccer

Frontier 6, Mahar 0 — Jazzy Hayes scored twice in the Redhawks’ victory over the Senators on Tuesday at the Woodward Complex.

Maddie Fagan, Skyler Steele, Faythe Sobieski and Maggie Nichols also found the back of the net while Carly Robertson (3), Josie Fosnot and Steele had the assists. Aylen Shaw made five saves in the victory.

Volleyball

Turners 3, Athol 0 — Madi Liimatainen finished with nine kills, 13 aces and five digs while Maddie Dietz added four aces and 13 assists in the Thunders’ 25-14, 25-15, 25-22 sweep of the Bears in Turners Tuesday.

Janelle Massey added five kills, two aces and one dig in the win. Giana Vaillancourt (five kills, four aces, three digs), Abby Spooner (three aces, two digs) and London McGrath (two aces, one assist) played well for Athol.

Athol JV won, 3-0.

Mohawk Trail 3, Franklin Tech 0 — The Eagles gave the Warriors all they could handle but Mohawk Trail was able to claw its way to a 25-20, 29-27, 29-27 sweep of Tech in Buckland Tuesday.

Palmer King had nine aces, 11 assists and eight kills, Adrian Grant put down three aces and three kills to go along with six digs, Emma Canaday tallied four kills and three aces while Emmalee Inman had three aces and two digs in the win.

Jenna Petrowicz (one ace, six kills, 19 digs), Sarah Beckwith (four aces, two kills, nine digs), Madison Pettengill (two aces, seven kills, eight digs) and Lily Josephs (two kills, two digs) played well for Franklin Tech.

Greenfield 3, Pioneer 1 — Jacobia Tyminski had three aces, two kills and nine digs in the Panthers’ loss to the Green Wave Tuesday in Northfield.

Sophia Wood (three aces, two kills, five digs) and Emma Strong (two aces, 11 digs) played well for Pioneer.

Mahar 3, Veritas Prep 0 — Turin Gurganus tallied four aces and two digs while Hayden Comeau had a trio of kills and aces in the Senators’ 25-23, 25-18, 25-17 sweep of Veritas Prep on Tuesday.

McKenzie Scribner added three aces and five digs while Madelynn Burgess finished with two aces, one kill and seven assists in the win.

Field hockey

Franklin Tech 6, Palmer 0 — Six different Eagles found the back of the cage to knock off the Panthers in Turners on Tuesday.

Cammy Jacques, Hannah Gilbert, Avery Heathwaite, Abi Dobias, Talia Pederzini and Kailey Steiner had the goals while Gilbert (2), Steiner (2) and Lili Inman provided the assists. Franklin Tech did not allow a shot on goal.

Westfield 4, Mahar 0 — Bella Burnett made seven saves for the Senators in a loss to the Bombers on Tuesday in Westfield.

Smith Academy 1, Mohawk Trail 0 — Falcon Sophia Jagodzinski scored the lone goal of the game in the first quarter to lift Smith to a victory over the Warriors in Hatfield Tuesday.

Golf

Frontier 168, Northampton 174 — Brady Wood shot a 40 while Ryan Cetto came in with a 41 to help the Redhawks come out victorious against the Blue Devils at Northampton Country Club on Tuesday.

Porter Hall (43) and Cam Skiffington (44) rounded out the scoring for Frontier.

Pioneer 180, Hopkins 193 — Brayden Thayer shot a 43 while Ben Werner and Ethan Mauthe each carded a 45 in the Panthers’ victory over the Golden Hawks at Holyoke Country Club Tuesday.

Cam Curtis (47) also scored for Pioneer.

Mohawk Trail 177, St. Mary’s 221 — Phineas Tuttman was the match medalist with a 38, leading the Warriors to a win over the Saints at Tekoa Country Club Tuesday.

Douglas Wilcox (45), Logan Moore (46) and Conner Bergeron (48) also scored for Mohawk Trail.

Field hockey

Frontier 2, Agawam 0 — Ashlie Galenski and Macy DeMaio scored for the Redhawks, who knocked off the Brownies in South Deerfield Monday.

Stella Heflin dished an assist while Kyra Richards made one save for Frontier.

Girls soccer

Franklin Tech 1, Pioneer 1 — Dzelila Cecunjanin scored for the Panthers in the 34th minute before Mia Marigliano scored with six minutes left in the half for the Eagles, with the contest ending in a 1-1 tie in Turners.

Mady Lynde assisted the Marigliano goal, Kylee Gamache made six saves while Kaelyn Mclean, Ariel Peters and Alyssa Peters played well on defense for Tech. Kyler McClelland stopped eight shots for Pioneer.

Volleyball

Frontier 3, Westfield 0 — Olivia Machon put down six kills and one ace while Abigail Hernandez recorded six kills and five aces, propelling the Redhawks to a 25-17, 25-8, 25-21 sweep of the Bombers at Goodnow Gymnasium Monday.

Emilie Candelaria tallied four kills and one ace while Parrish Stilla dished 19 assists in the win.
