Sexton graduates from Grand Canyon Univeristy

Rachel Sexton, formerly of Athol, graduated with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University of Phoenix, Ariz. Rachel is the daughter of Robert Sexton of Athol and Kimberly Flanders of Riverview, Fla.

Area students make President’s List

FITCHBURG — Fitchburg State University President Richard S. Lapidus has announced the names of students included on the President’s List for the Spring 2020 semester.

The President’s List honors students for consistently high academic achievement. A student is named to the list after achieving a 3.75 average in each of three successive semesters.

Athol: Sophia R. Cantrell

Orange: Katelyn R. Page, Cameron A. Truehart

Templeton: Sabrina T. Nogueira, Oliver J. Titus, Leah M. Williams

Winchendon: Kelly K. Mansfield

Nichols College graduates two from Athol

DUDLEY — Nichols College graduated over 300 students this spring. Virtual celebrations were held for both undergraduate and graduate recipients on May 2, with an in person commencement ceremony promised for a date to be determined.

■Tyler St. Cyr of Athol receives Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Criminal Justice Management.

■Nicholas Whelpley of Athol receives Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Finance.

Western New England University names two to Dean's List

SPRINGFIELD — Western New England University congratulates over 950 students named to the Spring Semester 2020 Dean's List.

The following area students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

■Zachary French of Phillipston is pursuing a BSE in Mechanical Engineering.

■Jordyn Berry of Petersham is pursuing a BSE in Biomedical Engineering.

Courteney White receives graduate degree from Nichols College

Van Iderstine named to President's List at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD — Western New England University is pleased to announce that Mica Van Iderstine of New Salem, MA, has been named to the President's List for the Spring Semester 2020. Van Iderstine is one of over 700 students to achieve this mark of academic excellence. Students are named to the President's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.80 or higher.

Van Iderstine is pursuing a BSE in Biomedical Engineering.
