PETERSHAM —  Gloria N. (Keller) Hinton, 92, of 233 No. Main Street, died peacefully at her residence Saturday evening, December 22, 2018, with her family at her side.

She was born in Lynn, MA on January 13, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph S. and Florence (Johnson) Keller and grew up in Lynn. She and her late husband lived in Tewksbury for many years, where she owned the former Craft Cottage and Country Store. In 1987, they moved to Petersham.

Gloria worked for Coca Cola in her earlier years. She enjoyed gardening, baking and sewing. She was a former member and Sunday School Teacher of Tewksbury United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society in Petersham.

Her husband of 61 years, Edgar G. "Rocky" Hinton Jr, died in 2008. She leaves three children, Edgar G. Hinton III and his significant other Amanda Gosselin of S.C.; Cheryl DeCarteret and her husband David of East Templeton and Robin Hinton of Petersham; grandchildren, Edgar Hinnton IV, Sherry Frost, Jason DeCarteret, Trish Shea, Amilyn DeCarteret, Jillena DeCarteret, Emilee DeCarteret and Kenneth DeCarteret; great grandchildren, Ellie Frost, Korey Shea, Ariana Frost, Tayla Shea and Ty DeCarteret; a sister, Eunice Maceachern of New Hampshire, as well as many nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Mildred, Joseph, Charles, Elmer, Thomas, Ted and Bill.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. A funeral service to follow Thursday at 11 A.M. in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
