WENDELL — Launch Space in Orange will be the next recipient of the Full Moon Coffeehouse fundraiser, to be held Jan. 19, featuring Shakozoba. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. with Open Mic; and the main act starts around 8. For all ages, non-smoking and alcohol free, in the Wendell Town Hall on the Common.

Shokazoba produces original work aiming to inspire greater human awareness through conscious fusion funk with progressive topical lyrics. Voted "Best of the Valley" five times, nominated as "Best Live Act of the Year" by the New England Music Awards, and recognized with several honorable distinctions by the African Jazz Review.

LaunchSpace is an up and coming "maker space" non-profit in Orange, providing tools and education for innovators; equipment and support for woodworking, metalworking, blacksmithing, robotics/IT, pottery, and textiles are part of LaunchSpace's plan. It will offer an environment to share creative energy, a classroom for personal learning for all ages, and workforce training for re-entry into the job market. Grant funds helped the nonprofit to secure and renovate a large space in the Orange Innovation Center. To learn more, go to http://www.launchspace-orange.com

The Wendell Full Moon Coffeehouse offers a lively night out for music, fun and dance; always in support of a good cause. For more information, visit wendellfullmoon.org. A sliding scale donation $6 to$15 (cash only) accepted at the door.
