Royalston: Fall fun on the Common

  • ROYALSTON — Artist Gordon Morrison, illustrator of the "Newcomb's Wildflower Guide" and other books, sketching one of the trees on the Royalston Common for the Scavenger Hunt during Saturday's Fall Fun on the Common, and the Trees of Royalston Identification booklet available soon at the Phinehas S. Newton Library. View Gordon's sketches and follow the Nature Board Trail around the library. The Nature Board Trail and the Tree Scavenger Hunt are funded in part by a grant to the library through CARES Act funding to the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. The Friends of the Library Scrapbook of the Twentieth Century will be on display for browsing and there will be many free books and other craft kits, funded by the Royalston Academy, available.
