Two new coin products coming

Monday, June 11, 2018

The U.S. Mint will debut two coin products this week. To order coins, visit www.usmint.gov or call 800-872-6468.

On Monday, the Voyageurs (MN) National Park quarter debuted in rolls and bags of circulation — quality strikes from all three regular mints. These are sold at a premium over face value, plus a shipping charge. The 5-ounce silver version of this coin will debut on Thursday. This will be sold for a premium over its bullion value. Another version of this coin will be sold through the bullion dealer network at a lower premium over its bullion value.

A small coin show will be held on Sunday, June 17, in Hinsdale, N.H., at the Millstream Community Center on Routes 63 and 119. Admission and off-street parking are free.

A small stamp show will be held on Tuesday, June 19, in Northampton at the World War II Veterans Club at 50 Conz St. (off Route 5). Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with free admission and off-street parking.

Last month, a shipment of 8 million 2018 Denver mint U.S. dimes were spilled in a truck accident in Nevada. The Nevada Highway Patrol secured the area until a recovery team could arrive and collect all of the coins that spilled.
