The U.S. Postal Service will issue a forever first-class rate stamp on Monday to note the 200th anniversary of the admission of Illinois as a state. This self-adhesive is sold in panes of 20 stamps and features a multicolored image of an outline of the state.

A coin show will be held Sunday in Auburn at the Elks Lodge on Route 12. Admission and off-street parking are free; hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Today, the U.S. Mint will begin taking orders for the 2018 clad version of the annual proof coin set. This will contain examples of all of the regular issue coins from the cent through the Sacagawea dollar, struck on polished blanks with polished dies. These coins also bear the San Francisco “S” mint mark, which is not found on most circulation-quality coins. To order this set from the mint, call 800-872-6468 or visit www.usmint.gov.
