Today: Song
Memorial Forest Management Walk

WARWICK — What options does a woodlot owner have in the wake of a major storm or other event that affects a lot of their trees? The Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust invite participants to join them on a tour of a recent forest management conducted on the 83-acre Song Memorial Forest, a Mount Grace Conservation Area on Flower Hill Road in Warwick on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 3:30 p.m. to find out.

Forester Mike Mauri will discuss Mount Grace’s thought process in responding to storm damage, and will show the different management approaches used to sustain and promote overall biodiversity, stimulate the growth of both young and old trees, and generate timber income as part of an ongoing system of sustainable timber production.

For more information and to register, visit bit.ly/3j9QWFz or go to mountgrace.org.

Rain date is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30.
