Racquel Provost and the Assumption field hockey team are headed to the NCAA Div. II tournament.

The Greyhounds faced Saint Anselm in the Northeast-10 Championship game on Sunday in Worcester, with Assumption walking away with a 3-0 victory to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Provost — who attended Greenfield High School and Northfield Mount Hermon — played every minute on defense in the championship game.

The Greyhounds are the No. 2 seed in the eight team field and will host Saint A’s, the No. 7 seed, in the quarterfinals on Saturday at 7 p.m. The winner of that game takes on the winner of No. 3 East Stroudsburg and No. 6 Bloomsburg in the semifinals.
