Trailing 4-0 after the top of the first inning, Pipione’s Sport Shop stormed back to capture the Newt Guilbault Community Baseball League title.

In a decisive Game 3 against Booska’s Flooring, Pipione’s fought back to take home the title with a 6-4 victory on Tuesday at Campbell Field in Turners Falls.

Liam Kerivan struck out 11 and hit a two-RBI triple, while Spencer Towne pitched in relief and tallied two hits at the plate. Jaxon Yates gave Pipione’s the lead with an RBI while Gavin Keene stole home in the win. 

Ryan Newton pitched and knocked two hits, Silas Lively knocked in a run while Gunner Triggs and Asa Stebbins combined for seven strikeouts for Booska’s.

Rotary Club 15, Aubuchon 3 — Blake Minor struck out eight, Carson White tallied two hits and two RBIs while Conner Bergeron tripled and drove in three in Rotary’s AAA playoff win Tuesday. 

Elias Tripp smashed two hits and struck out four for Aubuchon.

DRIVE League

Jon Breor scored 21 points while David Jung-Hernandez tallied 18 points in Greenfield’s 80-46 victory over Hampshire in a boys varsity contest in the DRIVE League Tuesday at Greenfield High School. 

Mark Resin scored 12 points for the Raiders. 

In the second game, Brayden English tallied 20 points while Jasper Alvarez scored 10 points in Easthampton’s 51-42 victory over Hatfield. Garrett Willard scored 16 points while Harry Laflamme added 12 points for Hatfield. 

To close out the night Athol knocked off Franklin Tech, 59-26, behind 13 points from Erik Goodwin and nine points from Owen Johnson. Caleb Johnston led the Eagles with eight points.

Thomas Women’s League

Robin Hartnett fired a low gross of 41, and Jenn Murphy posted the low net of 27 to pace the Thomas Memorial Women’s League on Wednesday in Turners Falls.

Longest drive winner on No. 6 was Karren Sacco, while Annie Cairl was closest to the pin on No. 7 (5-5).

K of C League

Brian Cocco was the top point quota winner (plus-6) at Thomas Memorial’s Knights of Columbus League on Wednesday. Five players tied for second at plus-5.

Closest to the pin winners were Rusty Demers (No. 7, 9-0.5) and Rod Demers (No. 0, 10-0). Bob Bourbeau (two) and Ken Morin won skins this week, while the low gross was shared by Bourbeau and Darren Lenois (37). Bruce Merriam leads the league with a plus-14 quota.
