Bulletin Board: Keith Burch, Jeff Houle win Crumpin-Fox Senior Two-Ball

The Crumpin-Fox Club Senior Open Two-Ball tournament took place on Wednesday, with Keith Burch and Jeff Houle firing a round of 63 to take first place. 

Al Griffin and Gary Mattesen took second (68), JC Guthrie and Matt Dobosh placed third (70) and Tom Frechette and Will Morris came in fourth (71). 

Jon Shea and Robert Shea carded the low net (60), followed by Bill Farrell and Chris Zguro (62), Tim Brandl and Mike Maguire (62), Carl Hoynoski and Jim O’Sullivan (63) and Greg Laughran and David Bowman (63). 

Burch and Houle won skins on No. 6. 

K of C League

Bruce Merriam had the top point quota (plus-10) followed by Dave Dion (plus-8) in the Knights of Columbus League at Thomas Memorial Wednesday. 

Ken Morin won closest to the pin on No. 7 (7 feet, 4 inches) while Brian Peters won on No. 9 (14-6).

Franklin First Credit Union 3, Greenfield Elks Club 2 — Evelyn Eldridge smashed three hits, Grace Hickey tallied three hits and an RBI while Adeline Ebbinghausen struck out two in Franklin First’s triumph on Wednesday. 

Kiley Canepali and Lillie Hubert each recorded three hits for Elks Club. 

Camelot Carpet Cleaners 6, Pipione's Sports Shop 5 — Charley Deane had a double play while Ella Kimball had a hit in Camelot’s win on Wednesday. 

Ayla Doherty and Kacie Cadran each had two hits for Pipione’s. 

Pipione's Sport Shop 3, Freedom Credit Union 1 — Kacie Cadran, Ava Martin and Penelope Gioules scored while Eleanor Jones played well in the field in Pipione’s win Tuesday. 

Emma Reardon and Emma Prasol knocked hits while Paisley Beck scored for Freedom. 

Gilmore & Farrell Insurance 14, Precision Driving School 4 — Kamryn Beck struck out six, Rian Farrell struck out five while Kamryn Beck, Hannah Lunt and Sadie Wilcox each had two hits in Gilmore’s win Tuesday. 

Kalina Pease had a hit and struck out seven while Isabella Bills and Ainsley Martin each had hits for Precision. 


Northfield Cougars 15, Hins dale Horseshoes 8 — Ryleigh Goodwin struck out six and ad ded two hits and three RBIs at the plate, Evy Lewis knocked two hits and an RBI while Lily Bell and Mckenzie Harrison each had a hit and an RBI in the Cougars’ win on Wednesday. 

Heidi Ebbighausen struck out three for Hinsdale.
