Brent Lyesiuk was the overall winner of the Packard Heights Mini-Triathlon on Sunday at Packard Pond in Orange, coming in with a time of 42 minutes, 49 seconds.
Caleb Truesdell took second (46:09) followed by James Maver in third (50:48). In the female division, Valerie Corso came out on top with a finish of 49:21. Ingrid Allen earned second (1:00:45) and Christine Attaway took third (1:04:44).
Becky Divoll, Emma O’Connor and Gay Lija were the top female team (47:35) while Danny Bondakenko and Jeff French were the top male team (45:15).
Joey Marascio, Jane Fiske Slarsky and Charlie Fiske were the top mixed team (54:00) and Matt Lyesiuk, Nick Lyesiuk and Nicole Lyesiuk were the top family team (45:37).
The top running time went to Bondakenko (13:41), Brent Lyesiuk had the best biking time (14:30) and Liya had the top kayak time (11:44).
GolfNorthfield Two-Ball
The Northfield Golf Course held its Two Ball tournament on Saturday, with Jeff Jackman and Paul Barnard taking home the title after carding a gross score of 63.
Jesse Morgan and Aaron Punska took second (64), Carter Fasick and John Fasick came in third (65) and Chris Ferriter and Dylan Rickles earned fourth (67).
In net scoring, Lloyd Grover and Dennis Depault had the low score (59). Geo Cooke and Dan Malloy tied with Sunny Lucas and Eric Bastarache for second (60) while the pairs of Andy Sena and Jeff Seymour, Brian Deane and Brad Letourneau, Bob LaCoy and Gene LaCoy and Trevor Lyne and John Godwin tied for fourth (61).
In closest to the pin, Janet Small won on No. 6 (six feet, nine inches), Sena took No. 7 (3-5), Dave Johnson won on No. 15 (4-3) and Aidan Davis won on No. 16 (5-0).
Letourneau and Joan Fitzgerald won longest drive on No. 9 while Jayme Coggin and Fitzgerald won it on No. 18.
Rutka cards ace at CCG
Jon Rutka had the shot of a lifetime on Monday, knocking in his first career hole-in-one.
Rutka did so at hole No. 5 at the Country Club of Greenfield. He used a 9-iron to sink the shot from 123 yards out. Ernie Patnode and John Shultis were witnesses.
BasketballDRIVE League
Men’s league action in the DRIVE League wrapped up on Thursday at Stoneleigh-Burnham, with Matt Petro going off for 25 points and Jayden Dawson adding 23 points as Team Markol took home the championship with an 86-73 win over Team No Name.
Rob Jones dropped 34 points and Chris Brown tallied 21 points in the loss.
Orange 3-on-3
The Orange Rec Department’s 3-on-3 basketball program held a round of playoffs last week, with over 75 players ranging from grades 3-through-12 participating.
The Ivy League division went to Team Princeton, Team Michigan won the NCAA division while the 76ers came out on top in the NBA division.
