At its meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, the Athol Royalston School Committee recognized those students named as Student of the Month for October at each of the schools. Students were nominated by their teachers, who provided comments on why they felt these students should receive this recognition.
Pictured here are Zelda Griffin-Judge (grade three, Athol Community Elementary School), Ava Boyd (grade one, Athol Community Elementary School), Bryson Quinlan (grade two, Royalston Elementary School), Emmett Streeter (grade four, Royalston Elementary School), Jordan Bosley (grade five, Athol Royalston Middle School), Giana St. Andre (grade six, Athol Royalston Middle School), Karol Rodriguez Gilbes (senior, Athol High School) and Aiden Jones (sophomore, Athol High School).
In addition, senior Raydin Sousa, a member of the football team and seventh-grader Abigail McNamara, a member of the girls soccer team, were named as Subway Student Athletes of the Month.
