Athol Police Logs: May 20-22, 2021

Thursday, May 20

4:25 a.m. – Caller walking their dog in the Unity Avenue and Fish Street area reported a vehicle had gone off the road, but was unoccupied. Vehicle operator contacted and report filed.

4:55 a.m. – Silver Lake Street 911 caller requested an ambulance for a woman who had broken her ankle. Transported to the hospital.

7:59 p.m. – 911 call about a physical altercation between two male parties. Both parties declined medical treatment and were advised to pursue the matter through the court.

11:37 p.m. – Oak Avenue caller reported her apparently intoxicated boyfriend was preventing her from leaving with their child. Officers stood by while the female gathered belongings and left with the child.

Friday, May 21

3:12 p.m. – West Royalston Road caller reported their kayak had been stolen off their property.

9 p.m. – Main Street area caller reported she had brought her husband to the hospital, but he pulled the keys out of the ignition and took off running. Description was provided, and officers attempted to locate the subject. Female was provided with a courtesy transport back to residence and later called to confirm she got her keys back.

Saturday, May 22

3:21 p.m. – Templeton Road caller reported an elderly woman standing on the side of the road with suitcases and appeared disoriented. Courtesy transport provided for the female party who had been walking back from Market Basket with heavy bags.

10:10 p.m. – Caller from Laurel Street area reported loud music coming from the next street over. Officer spoke with homeowner having a back yard party. Agreed to turn down music for the rest of the evening.
