Monday, May 31

1:38 p.m. – Brooks Road caller reported a suspicious vehicle that had repeatedly come and gone the past few nights. Patrol officer made contact and sent the subject on their way.

4:11 p.m. – Lenox Street caller reported a pink/red ATV driving around the area. Patrol officer spotted it, but operator turned it around and went back into the woods. Officer went to Plantation, Meadow area but was unable to make contact.

4:23 p.m. – Pequoig Avenue area caller reported a dark gray Camero was doing “burnouts” in the area. Unable to make contact.

5:40 p.m. – Several calls from Metropolitan Court area reported a male party laying in front of the church. The party was transported to the hospital.

5:47 p.m. – Lobby walk-in to report that their son had been beaten up by another male party. Video of the incident was available.

6:17 p.m. – Lobby walk-in to turn in property found in the Townsend Road area; two bags that were believed to possibly contain stolen goods.

7:28 p.m. – Athol Memorial Hospital requested assistance with a vehicle that had not moved out of the parking lot for several days and needed to confirm if it belonged to a patient (who then had to be admitted) or not.

Tuesday, June 1

12:05 to 3:00 a.m. – Multiple business/building security checks that spanned Main Street through Unity Avenue areas.

4:48 p.m. – Colonial Drive caller reported his old license plates were stolen and they were now getting bills from Mass Pike Tolls.

4:40 p.m. – Main Street caller requested assistance on how to handle a situation of two neighbors having issues over a cat. ACO (Animal Control Officer) had already been notified. Officer advised of HARPO (Harrassment Prevention Order) options.

7:10 p.m. – Report of a smoking vehicle on Main Street and AFD confirmed the vehicle was just overheated.

Wednesday, June 2

8:58 a.m. – Exchange Street business reported a person panhandling in their drive through lane. Officer advised subject not to come back.

1:03 p.m. – A vehicle appeared to have been abandoned in a Main Street business parking lot. Officer advised store manager of private property tow procedures.

2:13 p.m. – A welfare check was requested in the McGregor Street area. The person in question was contacted and stated they were living with a relative in New Hampshire. Reporting party advised of the update.

11:47 p.m. – Traffic stop at South Main Street and Brookside Road for defective equipment.

Thursday, June 3

11:35 p.m. June 2 to 12:35 a.m. June 3 – Five business security checks were performed from Main Street to Tower Road. No issues found.

12:44 a.m. – DCF in Police Station lobby requesting an officer to assist them at a residence.

1:28 a.m. – Walnut Street caller requested assistance with an apparently intoxicated relative at the residence. Officer mediated verbal argument between the two parties.
