Athol Police Log: Aug. 12-13, 2021

Thursday, Aug. 12

12:03 – 12:32 a.m. – Building security checks Tower Road to Washington Avenue area.

12:52 a.m. – High Knob Road area caller heard an alarm going off in the neighborhood, but not sure which residence. Area quiet upon arrival.

1:33 a.m. – Lobby walk-in to request transport to hospital.

2:33 a.m. – Goodale Street caller reported a loud party in the neighborhood was keeping them awake.

9:43 a.m. – 911 call from Wood Street for an ambulance where subject was having difficulty breathing. Officer assisted.

9:57 a.m. – Bearsden Road caller to report credit card fraud. States his credit card has been compromised twice. Early June and yesterday. Both times card has been reported, canceled and reissued a new account. Wanted it on record.

10:51 a.m. – Chestnut Street caller reported suspicious activity at neighbor’s yard (owners out of state). Found to be workers painting and cleaning out the house.

5:45 p.m. – Several calls from Bearsden Road area about a lightning strike and pole with wires sparking/arcing. National Grid contacted and police assisted with traffic control.

6:13 p.m. – South Main Street caller reporting a female party, wearing hospital clothing, Heywood bracelet, with a Heywood paper, walking around the CSO parking lot, currently talking to a male employee. Officer advised subject to leave the property.

6:42 p.m. – Brattle Street caller requested assistance with tree that fell on the house. Police and AFD responded to assist and officer discussed options with homeowner.

10:17 p.m. – Caller from Metropolitan Court area reported a disturbance between 3 individuals. Officer mediated situation.

Friday, Aug. 13

5:12 a.m. – Main Street caller requested assistance with an individual who has been trespassed from the property. Gone on arrival, but later observed by officer at Ocean State Job Lot and was advised to stay off the stated property. Subject later showed up on property again asking people for money and a copy of the No Trespass order was given.
