Athol Police Log: Nov. 10 to Nov. 15, 2022

Thursday, November 10

11:48 a.m. – Station walk-in reported their prescription was stolen from Market Basket.

Friday, November 11

12:01 p.m. – Caller from Highland Street area reported being scammed from an unknown person on Instagram.

Saturday, November 12

11:19 a.m. – Liberty Street caller reported their roommate’s child’s mother went into the reporting party’s apartment and started throwing things around and threatening them. Female involved was given a verbal trespass and advised to not return.

11:37 a.m. – Lobby walk-in reported people were following her and that one of them almost hit her while she was at the Post Office. Officer had dispatch run the plates in which came back to civilians not from the area.

3:44 p.m. – One individual from Vaughn Road taken into custody after being served a warrant.

5:34 p.m. – 911 call from reporting party that they rang the bell for Salvation Army, and a white male in an older blue Chrysler mini van robbed her of her bucket of money. Party took off. Gardner police called with similar incident/possibly same suspect.

8:05 p.m. – Police responded to disturbance call from Pine Street. Male party calling reported a call from the residence they own (but was not there) from a female party that lives there that stated someone was banging on her door trying to get in. Male party was at Pine Street getting his vehicle back. Keys were retrieved and he was sent on his way.

10:05 p.m. – South Athol Road report of a motor vehicle accident. Caller reported a vehicle over the the embankment. No one was in the vehicle but the caller reported observing blood in the vehicle. Police spoke with the girlfriend of the vehicle owner. Attempting to make contact.

10:20 p.m. – Caller from Wellington Street reported that his vehicle was broken into on Friday morning. Stated that his driver side door, glove box and center console were all wide open when he left for work. Caller was unsure if anything was stolen.

Sunday, November 13

12:43 p.m. – Lake Ellis Road caller stated that she had camera footage of three parties that she believed were trying to break into her vehicle on Saturday night. Police found no break-in had occurred; advised to call if parties returned.

9:08 p.m. – Marble Street caller requested police investigate parties in another apartment, possibly dealing. Stated there are people in and out of that apartment all day. Police spoke to involved parties about possible controlled substance(s) activity in the building.

Monday, November 14

7:18 a.m. – Templeton Road caller reported that there was a BOLO out on a male party who stole one of his vehicles. Reporting party stated they had just seen the male party drive by the house, and drove off down State Road in Phillipston towards Athol. Officers advised to BOLO.

7:28 p.m. – 911 call from Main Street of a group of teenage boys fighting on the sidewalk. Caller reported that one teenager was pinned down on the sidewalk and punches were thrown. Group then went into Athol Soap and Suds. Police Spoke to two juveniles and their parent about “fake” fighting on the sidewalk. Juveniles were advised to not cause a disturbance and to go home. Parent was advised that if they continue to cause an issue they will have to come pick them up and bring them home. Parent was fine with letting them walk home.

8:53 p.m. – Police verbally trespassed a woman at the Mini Mart who was previously kicked out due to her asking customers for drugs.

9:03 p.m. – Police follow up on a Main Street 911 assault call for a broken jaw (while reporting party was with EMS). Reporting party stated involved party punched him in the face while sitting on the couch. Police spoke to the involved party and his wife who said they were in their room and heard a loud bang. When they went into the living room the reporting party had fallen off the couch. Both reporting party and involved party were intoxicated. Reporting party does not live at the address.

11:38 p.m. – Suspicious person reported at Silver Lake and Crescent Street. Police advised the female party not to yell at cars passing by.

Tuesday, November 15

8:07 a.m. – Brookside Road caller reported they had just been assaulted; subject took off took off in a silver Jeep. Officer spoke with parties involved and reviewed video footage. Subject was advised not to return to Cumberland Farms.

11:38 a.m. – Pequoig Avenue caller reported a break in of his vehicle. Nothing taken. Reporting party wanted police to be aware incase there were issues in the area. Appears to be related to the recent breaks case that officers have already solved.

11:49 a.m. – Tower Road call for assistance; reported a shoplifter.
