ATHOL — There’s a new support option for those struggling with substance abuse. Clinical Support Options recently opened an Intensive Outpatient Program at 491 Main St., available for adults who are in early recovery and sober within the past 30 days, who are able to go to the clinic three days a week, and who might have been discharged from other treatment programs.

“CSO provides a full range of behavioral health and substance abuse services through a network of five licensed outpatient sites. Services are provided both on-site and in homes, schools and other community settings,” according to the organization’s website.

Outpatient services at the new Main Street clinic include urgent outpatient assessment and treatment; diagnostic evaluations; therapy for children, adolescents and adults; child and adult psychiatry; sexual abuse and trauma treatment for survivors and their families; substance abuse and addictions treatment; treatment for depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and general adjustment disorders; case consultation and collaboration; medication management; community support services; psychological testing and assessments; family support; and group therapy.
