Tuesday, Jan. 15

4:37 a.m. — Winter ban parking violation tickets issued, Main Street.

4:40 a.m. — Winter ban parking violation tickets issued, Main Street.

5:21 a.m. — Vehicle stopped, South Main Street. Warned for speeding.

5:47 a.m. — Ambulance responded to Harrington Street.

5:51 a.m. — Vehicle stopped, Daniel Shays Hwy. Citation issued for speeding.

5:59 a.m. — Warning issued for defective equipment (head light) Daniel Shays Hwy.

6:04 a.m. — Warning for defective equipment (loud muffler), Daniel Shays Hwy.

6:26 a.m — Citation issued for speeding, South Main Street.

8:19 a.m. — Ambulance to Edward Street for 88-year-old female who fell.

9:12 a.m. — Warrant served, Everett Avenue. One under arrest.

9:47 a.m. — Caller reporting shoplifting of nips, Main Street. Confronted male party outside and he took off. Wanted on record previous issues and shoplifting. Advised to apply for Harassment Prevention Order (HARPO) and trespass order. Verbal trespass given to suspect.

10:18 a.m. — Orange Police looking for assistance with incident that took place in Hannaford. OPD out on Prentiss Street. Witness in the lobby. One under arrest, en route to station.

11:12 a.m. — Ambulance to South Royalston Road for 101-year-old female; conscious and alert at this time.

11:43 a.m. — Beacon Street; caller to speak to officer about getting money to the plaintiff on his 209A Advised to contact his lawyer or the court.

11:50 a.m. — Marble Street; Athol Fire Dept. Deputy Chief Parker requesting officers to assist. There is a cease and desist order but there are people at Marble Street location. Officers spoke with parties. No action taken.

3:29 p.m. — Millers River Drive, caller stated the door to her shed in her back yard was open a few days ago and wanted to report it today. She normally keeps the shed unlocked and has the lock hanging on the hinge to appear to be locked. Lock was found in front of door and door was wide open. Nothing seemed to be missing or disturbed. Wanted it documented.

4:04 p.m. — Citation issued for impeded operation, Petersham Road.

4:23 p.m. — Ridge Road party in lobby reporting he has been on vacation the past week and came home to a mess and damage to his house from a friend they trusted. Items also stolen from house. Making a list of items taken.

4:23 p.m. — Ambulance to South Street for 62-year-old with low blood pressure.

4:35 p.m. — Officer to Lindsey Lane for follow-up investigation.

5:13 p.m. — Female requested officer speak with group of boys skateboarding in the common area of the Pequoig Apartments. Officer spoke with two juveniles skateboarding on the Athol Savings Bank steps; advised them to leave and find a better place to skate as the property was off limits for recreational sports.

5:17 p.m. — Party reporting golden retriever puppy is always loose and in middle of Chestnut Hill Avenue.

5:32 p.m. — Walk-in reporting open door at Greg’s garage, Church Street. Officer located front door opened which appeared to have the door lock removed. Make it known that all doors were missing the door knobs and deadbolts. Officer checked inside and no one was found within. No forced entry and zero signs of breaking and entering. Door secured prior to clearing call.

6:27 p.m. — Disturbance, Highland and Grove streets. CAller reporting females screaming; unsure of what is going on. Officers arrived and nothing observed. While checking area officers heard a scream coming from around the corner and were met by a young boy who was out of control. History of medical issues that cause rage. Boy was upset his mother was taking the Xbox.

6:36 p.m. — Male party calling station multiple times not making sense/harassing dispatchers. Officers decided to conduct welfare check, Common Street. Made contact with male who wanted to report incident that had taken place a few years back. Information gathered.

7:54 p.m. — 911 caller requesting ambulance for possible overdose, Grove Street. Officer assisted Athol Fire Dept. with male party who was “nodding off” in the middle of the street. Male was conscious and alert upon arrival; no Narcan administered. Care passed on to EMTs. Male admitted to using heroin. Drug items found on person and bag pack he was carrying. Items recovered and stored at Athol Police by department policy.

8:22 p.m. — Ambulance requested for elderly female, North Orange Road.

11:07 p.m. — Motor vehicle accident; South Main Street. Female transferred from State Police; she was traveling west when deer ran out in front of her. Deer struck, causing damage to front bumper and grill of vehicle. No injuries to driver or passenger. Officer assisted with putting down deer; DPW contacted for removal of deer.

11:12 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Partridgeville Road. Caller reporting a car is sitting in his driveway with the lights on. Officer found that party broke down and was able to coast his vehicle to the driveway. All checked out and subject had a tow truck en route.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

12:34 a.m. — School Street caller requesting ambulance.

1:07 a.m. — Fire alarm, Brown Street. Faulty battery.

4:52 a.m. — Vehicle stopped, Templeton Road. Operator was summoned for operating with suspended license, suspended registration and speeding. Tow requested; operator transported to Birch Street.

6:20 a.m. — Winter parking violations issued, Main Street.

8:47 a.m. — Ambulance responded to Cass Circle for 95-year-old female. Transported to Athol Hospital.

9:17 a.m. — Report of possible OUI. Officer has motorist stopped at Silver Lake and Lenox streets. No signs of impairment. Operator was elderly and stated he was lost while looking for a residence he was buying wood from.

12:48 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Petersham Road. Party reports son brought female home and she is scared.

1:20 p.m. — Ambulance to Main Street for 60-year-old male with severe back pain. Transported to Athol Hospital.

1:38 p.m. — Party in lobby reporting someone stuffed garbage and hair into tailpipe, Riverview Avenue.

2:16 p.m. — Ambulance to Harrington Street.

2:23 p.m. — Assault; reporting party’s daughter’s friend was assaulted on school bus, Main street. Officer to Athol High School regarding same incident.

4:04 p.m. — Suspicious person, Chestnut Hill Avenue. Observed loud noise and subject on property of Victory Lane Motors. Subject found to be behind a dumpster and breaking up wood pallets for the property owner.

5:01 p.m. — Animal Control officer responded to complaint of raccoon weaving down street, walking into walls, foaming at the mouth; School and Riverbend streets.

5:44 p.m. — Animal Control advised she removed a deceased cat, Bearsden Road.

6:07 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Euclid Street. Caller states there is a silver car turning around in every driveway on the street. The caller asked if they were alright and someone took off running from the car. Checked area; nothing obviously wrong. Vehicle left prior to officer’s arrival.

6:12 p.m. — Report of sewage backup, J Street. DPW notified.

6:15 p.m. — Verbal warning issued to motorist stopped for no tail lights, Main Street.

6:16 p.m. — Caller states he saw people walk into the building at Riverbend Street with flashlights and is unsure what they are doing. Advised the Class of 2020 has a fundraiser going on at this location.

6:29 p.m. — Vehicle stopped, Main Street. Warning issued for plate light.

6:45 p.m. — Animal complaint, Harrington Street.

7:12 p.m. — Ambulance to South Royalston Road for 88-year-old male.

7:30 p.m. — Main Street caller requesting officer to assist her with her two children who are not listening and about to fight; 17-year-old female and 18-year-old male fighting over cell phone, verbal only. Advised parent of options. Female subject on probation so probation was notified.

7:55 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Templeton Road. Officer flagged down at wendy’s about an erratic operator. Vehicle was in parking lot acting “weird.” Oce at the traffic light she was two car lengths out of the intersection; went on the red light, turned around and went back to Wendy’s. Black Chevy occupied by white female. Gone on arrival.

8:28 p.m. — Caller reporting neighbor’s dog in her yard, Ridge Road. ACO collected the dog.

9:12 p.m. — Motorist stopped for inspection sticker issued warning; Main Street.
