WORCESTER — Worcester Polytechnic Institute awarded nearly 1,200 bachelor's degrees at its 153rd undergraduate Commencement ceremony on May 14. The following students were awarded bachelor's degrees at WPI's commencement ceremony:

POTSDAM, N.Y. — Brittney Brown of Orange is set to graduate summa cum laude from SUNY Potsdam with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance.

BOSTON — Haley Jean, a New Salem resident, was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Simmons University in Boston.

FRANKLIN — Dean College is pleased to announce that Sarah Graeff of Petersham has been inducted into the following honor societies for their academic achievements: Chi Alpha Sigma, Golden Key.

CHICOPEE — More than 525 students were named to the fall 2021 Dean's List at College of Our Lady of the Elms.

SPRINGFIELD — Alexandria Morris of Orange was recently inducted into the Western New England University chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), the honor society of AACSB-accredited business schools worldwide. The 18th annual induction ceremony was held on April 28 in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. Morris is working toward a BSBA in Accounting.

GARDNER — Mount Wachusett Community College celebrated the academic achievements of its graduates during the college’s 57th Commencement on May 18. A total of 592 students graduated, with 474 associate degrees and 164 certificates being conferred. Locally:

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Lura Misner, Computer Science major, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Vermont. Misner from New Salem is in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.

BLOOMSBURG, Penn. — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania congratulates the nearly 1,950 students who were named to the Spring 2022 Dean's List.

■Abigail Henne from Orange, a Sophomore who is a Criminal Justice major, was one of those recognized.

BURLINGTON, Vt. — This year's commencement at the University of Vermont marked a return to a traditional celebration outdoors on the University Green after two years of pandemic restrictions. The following students graduated from the University of Vermont during commencement ceremonies in May:
