Academic honors

AMHERST — Approximately 7,000 students received bachelor’s degrees in over 100 majors at the University of Massachusetts Amherst’s Undergraduate Commencement on May 13, at the McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

Walker of Orange named to the Champlain Dean's List

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Jessica Walker of Orange has been named to a Champlain College Dean's List for the Spring 2022 semester.

Students awarded honors based on their academic achievement. Walker is currently enrolled in the Psychology major.

Local residents named to Clark University Dean's List

WORCESTER — The following local residents were named to Clark University's Spring 2022 Dean's List:

■Siobhan E. Davis, of Orange, was named to second honors.

■Jude F. Cook, of New Salem, was named to second honors.

■Mayte Torres Zelaya, of Orange, was named to first honors.

Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

Sauer graduates from Montclair State University

MONTCLAIR, N.J. — Becca Sauer of Athol graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Montclair State University in May 2022.

Emery named to Dean's List at Tufts

MEDFORD — Tufts University student Cole Emery, of Wendell, Class of 2022, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2022 semester.

Emery is one of more than 4,000 students named to Dean's List at Tufts University. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or greater for the semester.
