ROYALSTON — On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1:30-3 p.m. there will be a Listening Session with Senator Jo Comerford and Representative Susannah Whipps at the Royalston Town Hall.

This meeting will be an opportunity for these legislators to recap what they have been working on in the Legislature, to listen to the concerns of residents and to answer their questions.

One of the accomplishments of Senator Comerford and Representative Whipps in the past year was to meet with Pan Am Railways and the Royalston Selectboard to halt the idling trains in the South Village, which many residents considered an intractable problem for many years.

The legislators have also been trying to assist the town in locating sources of funding for repurposing Whitney Hall and the former Raymond School, two town-owned buildings that could be used for town office and public works space.

All Royalston residents are welcome. The legislators will go on that day to meet with the residents of New Salem from 3:30-5 p.m.
