PHILLIPSTON — On Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. the Historical Society of Phillipston will present “41 Years of Sorrow” by Sara Campbell.

Campbell, a historian and genealogy instructor at Fitchburg State University, discovered a Civil War soldier’s story which motivated her to do research. The soldier was Edward Moore who now rests in peace in Phillipston’s cemetery in the center of town where the monument commemorates that war. His story tells a tale of 41 years of tough happenings — losses, wounds, prison camp, and he fought for the Confederacy. Phillipston’s Cultural Council is sponsoring the program which will be held in the Congregational Church Vestry in Phillipston Common. Everyone is welcome to attend this free program.

For more information call 978-939-5465. Refreshments will follow the presentation.
