Orange Police Log: May 10

Friday, May 10

8:09 a.m. — Motor vehicle accident, South Main Street. Caller advises while she was waiting in the construction traffic she accidentally bumped the backend of another vehicle with her vehicle. Caller spoke to the operator of the vehicle and they did not feel there was any damage.

12:02 p.m. — Caller advising there is a window near the entry door on the store front that is broken and taped, South Main Street. Advises she is aware of how it was broken and will be having it fixed.

4:45 p.m. — East Main Street; request for wrecker to impound a motorcycle, East Main Street, to be held pending an investigation. Swansea Police Dept. will fax their report to the Orange police.

5:40 p.m. — Suspicious person. Female with several piercings came to the reporting party’s door on Ward Road attempting to sell a vacuum cleaner. A male subject was sitting in the white van. Police located and questioned van on Wheeler Avenue. They were handing out coupons for free carpet cleaning, not selling. Advised to move on.

5:55 p.m. — South Main Street caller advises she was just rear-ended while trying to pull into Hannaford Plaza. States no injuries. Call given to Athol Police.

7:01 p.m. — Unwanted person. Ball Street caller advises her ex is at the residence and she doesn’t want them there. Officer spoke with parties involved. As subject was invited by another person, officer advised reporting party to stay in her room until he leaves. Party informed he will leave within an hour.

7:31 p.m. — Officer responded to Sout Main Street location and returned items recovered from a past break in and larceny case.

9:48 p.m. — Report of a disturbance in the downstairs apartment, Mechanic Street. Officer found subject and his girlfriend arguing. Both spoken with and claimed verbal. They will separate for the night and try to talk tomorrow once cooled down.
