Athol Police Log: May 12

Sunday, May 12

8:58 a.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Reservoir Drive. Report of suspicious female in her 40s with long blonde hair acting suspicious outside her white SUV. Officer spoke with caller who stated she saw a female party exit  a white SUV in the rear of the parking lot. Female was looking on ground for something for 30 minutes and hopped back into vehicle and took off. Officer checked area she was searching; nothing suspicious.

1:43 p.m. — Party turned in ATM card found in the ATM at Athol Savings Bank.

2:02 p.m. — Traffic stop, South Street. Warning issued for texting and driving.

2:05 p.m. — Pequoig Avenue; subject to station to speak with officer regarding child custody issues.

2:18 p.m. — Reporting party dropped $40 cash out of pocket and another customer picked it up and refusing to return it, Main Street. Officer watched the video and the reporting party was never in the store. Officer confronted the party with this and he said ‘well, I guess you can’t do anything’ then left.

(Note: the 3 to 11 p.m. shift was not available).

Monday, May 13

2:52 a.m. — Intoxicated person, Oakland Avenue. Caller reporting an adult male who seems intoxicated that is in the road yelling for help. White male wearing a black shirt, jeans and carrying a stick. Officer requesting an ambulance, this is an elderly person who has fallen and injured his head and hand. Officer off at Miller Street attempting to contact a caretaker. Made contact. And will be en route to Athol Hospital.
