Athol Police Log: June 7

Friday, June 7

4:05 p.m. — 911 caller requesting ambulance for 71-year-old male, South Main Street.

4:25 p.m. — 911 caller requesting ambulance for 46-year-old female, Reservoir Drive.

4:34 p.m. — Minor motor vehicle accident, South and Tunnel Streets involving vehicles operated by Jason D. Rocheford, Silver Lake Street, Athol and Steven K. Ringer Jr., Memorial Drive, Orange. Information exchanged prior to arrival. The Ringer vehicle struck the Rocheford vehicle when backing out, causing damage to the Rocheford vehicle. Damage under $1,000.

7:19 p.m. — Caller reporting he just returned from vacation and found the rear passenger window on his vehicle smashed out, Fredette Street. Officer gathered information and photos for report.

7:26 p.m. — Caller reporting his vehicle broke down and will have it moved within the hour, Templeton Road and Orchard Street. States it is off the roadway. Stood by for tow by Dale’s.

7:29 p.m. — Caller stating there are four trucks parked by the gate that are not supposed to be there, two left on dirt bikes, Thrower Road. Parties advised of complaint and told not to ride in the clubhouse area, sent on way without issue.

7:47 p.m. — Caller stating there are dirt bikes riding in the pit near the solar panels and they aren’t supposed to be in there, Partridgeville Road. Discovered to be the dirt bikes from previous call.

8:25 p.m. — Caller reporting a female party in early 20s with blonde hair wearing a black tank top walking through backyards avoiding her boyfriend, South Street. Gone on arrival, officers will continue to be on the lookout.

9:20 p.m. — Ambulance en route for a medical, Partridgeville Road.

10:01 p.m. — 911 caller states there is a vehicle parked on the side of the road with its lights on and stated they are having a problem, Chestnut Hill Avenue.

10:07 p.m. — Caller stating a vehicle is parked half in the roadway and wanted the vehicle checked on, Pinedale Road. Vehicle is unoccupied and in roadway, same towed by Jim’s.

10:13 p.m. — Caller stating there is a car that is doing burnouts in the road, Goodale and Laurel streets. Negative contact.

Saturday, June 8

12:23 a.m. — Police requesting ambulance for male party with COPD having difficulty breathing, Sanders Street. Assisted AFD.

12:34 a.m. — Female party sent by ambulance to Athol Hospital ER to be evaluated, Orchard Street. Assisted AFD.

1:09 a.m. — Employee stating a male party is nodding off in their car in the parking lot and has been there for about half an hour, Main Street. Officer spoke with subject who reported he got into an argument with his housemates and he was going to sleep in his vehicle for the night. Moved along.

1:14 a.m. — Officers heard yelling while responding to another call, Main Street. Subjects were being loud and horse playing. All was secure. Asked to quiet down.

 6:31 a.m. — Caller states his trailer broke down and wants to know if it is okay to leave it on the side of the road until he gets his tools to fix it, Pinedale Road. Assisted with traffic control until operator had someone arrive to repair trailer to the point where it could be moved out of the road.

9:10 a.m. — Caller states that a cat in her neighborhood attacked her cat this morning, Silver Lake Street. Animal control officer advised and will make contact with caller.

9:26 a.m. — 911 call for medical emergency, Main Street.

12:16 p.m. — Caller states there a male is banging on door and is not stopping, Sanders Street. Officer transporting one to the station for emergency 209A.

12:32 p.m. — Officer requesting ambulance for a male party with difficulty breathing, Sanders Street.

1:08 p.m. — Caller wants to know if the fire department can help her unlock a door to her bedroom, Riverbend Street.

3:56 p.m. — Caller reporting male party standing outside of a gray sedan acting suspiciously, staggering and appearing intoxicated, North Orange Road. Vehicle gone on arrival.

5:23 p.m. — Caller states an hour ago a male party she used to be friends with threatened her with a knife to take her scratch tickets, Freedom Street. Officer spoke with family members about the incident. Caller had taken the scratch tickets from elderly family member and when confronted stated they were stolen. Officer spoke with caller on an unrelated issue after she told family they were stolen. She never mentioned incident. Appears unfounded.

5:51 p.m. — Caller states there are many suspicious motor vehicles coming and going in the area and believes it is a drug issue, Wellington Street. Checked area, no sign of reported activity.

6:09 p.m. — Caller states she believes female outside the apartment is trying to sell 94C, Cottage Street.

6:10 p.m. — Caller reporting motorcycle without pipes drives through the area at 5:30/6 every day and would like an officer to check the area during that time, Pinedale Avenue.

6:12 p.m. — Caller states a male party walked out with three boxes of diapers, Main Street. Officer viewed security video footage, subject was not known.

6:35 p.m. — 911 caller requesting ambulance, Tunnel Street.

6:46 p.m. — Caller states she found a woman’s wallet in the roadway, Templeton Road. Attempted several numbers in house for the wallet’s owner. Messages left.

8:25 p.m. — Police requesting AFD to area for smoke invest of possible brush fire, Pinedale Avenue.

8:47 p.m. — 911 caller states he just noticed a window in his home was smashed out and believes someone may have broken in while he was not home, Riceville Road. Officer investigated and a report will be filed. Nothing stolen per reporting party.

9:08 p.m. — 911 caller requesting ambulance for 44-year-old female having allergic reaction to medication, Intervale Avenue. Nurse on scene.

9:42 p.m. — Motor vehicle stopped that was parked at Silver Lake, Pequoig Avenue and Fish Street. Parties informed of the curfew at the lake and sent on way.

10:13 p.m. — Officer observed an intoxicated male stumbling on the sidewalk, School and Upland streets. Party was with a sober female headed to an address on School Street.

10:18 p.m. — Subject into lobby stating her apartment was broken into and several large items are missing, Exchange Street. No sign of damage to either door. Locks had not been changed when subject moved in. Officer took list of stolen items.

10:25 p.m. — Caller reporting unknown male party outside her house yelling that he is going to shoot up the area, Sanders Street. One detained. Verbal argument. Subject outside was claiming that his television had been stolen by roommates. He was stating that roommates had gun. Roommates only possess a BB gun. Male party walking on street was going to stay with friend for the evening.
