Athol Police Log: Aug 10-12

Saturday, August 10

7:44 a.m. — 911 call stated he heard three loud bangs and then the building lost power and now alarms are going off, Main Street. C5 advising multiple people in the area with half power. National Grid on scene. Determined to be an open fuse on a telephone pole.

9:07 a.m. — Party calling about an employee that is acting strange and was asked to leave the building and returned back inside the building, Crescent Street. Subject given courtesy ride to AMH to get checked out.

10:43 a.m. — Athol ER requesting officer to help restrain an aggravated party. Officers stood by while party allowed hospital staff to restrain him.

10:57 a.m. — Caller would like a welfare check done on her daughter, Partridgeville Road. She hasn’t heard from her since 5:00 last night and she was supposed to pick up her daughter at 10 this morning and hasn’t. The mother can’t get ahold of her daughter.

11:05 a.m. — Party into station to speak to an officer regarding visitation of granddaughter, Kennebunk Street. Spoke with all parties. Checked child at house. Appeared healthy and happy. All parties have probate date 8/13 and will address new concerns.

1:39 p.m. — Caller would like to speak to an officer in regard to someone stating she sold her pills to  people at a Main Street business.

3:09 p.m. — Party stating she is attempting to pick up her step-daughter and the mother is refusing to bring her out, Park Street. Step-father is giving her a hard time as well.

3:19 p.m. — Party reporting she just arrived back home to find her apartment torn apart and belongings taken, School Street. Door was unlocked.

5:03 p.m. — Party requesting officer assistance for neighbor issues now involving children, Goodale Street. Spoke with both parties, advised for children to not go on the neighbor’s driveway.

7:40 p.m. — AMH calling for a male party in blue scrubs under a section who left on foot out of his room but is not believed to be out of the hospital yet, Main Street. Subject in room and under control upon arrival. Assisted AMH staff.

8:12 p.m. — Party reporting a bright yellow Jeep Wrangler with two female parties speeding up and down the street with children playing in the area, South Street. Searched the area, subjects gone on arrival.

9:53 p.m. — Caller reporting the sound of screaming for the past half hour, Bearsden Road. Officers searched the area, screaming was coming from a trailer full of goats. Party advised of the noise.

Sunday, Aug. 11

12:53 a.m. — Caller reporting loud talking and multiple vehicles coming and going, suspicious activity, Sanders Street.

1:00 a.m. — Party reporting his medications and money were stolen from party he has a restraining order against, broke through window, Auburn Place.

8:19 a.m. – Walk-in would like an officer to go with him to pick up his belongings from his house, Lewis Street. Escorted him to his house. No issues, female party was not home.

9:32 a.m. — Caller would like to speak to an officer regarding someone shooting at his car with a BB gun, Chestnut and Cottage streets. Party states he was driving down Hapgood Street when he heard a “snap” and noticed a nick in his windshield. There were no cars or people around and he believes it may have come from a house. Advised extra patrols of the area would be conducted.

10:29 a.m. — 911 caller stated he knows there is an active 209A that he has not been served, Auburn Place. He stated that he would like to go and get his belongings as well as be served his paperwork. Party stated that he knows if he was to go to the residence there would be an issue and with his knowledge of the 209A he does not want to go there without police present. Restraining order served to party. Escorted mother to the house to retrieve belongings. Permission was then given by the plaintiff to come over. Items were retrieved without incident. Advised to go to court for further paperwork.

11:04 a.m. — Party reporting between last night and this morning someone stole the clothes off of her clothesline, Cottage Street.

11:36 a.m. — 911 for a medical emergency, Hapgood Street. Female reporting she just arrived home and her wife is cold and not breathing. Officer requesting a detective. CPAC and medical examiner notified.

12:15 p.m. — 911 for a male party that fell, Spring Street. Caller states he is breathing but making grunting noises. C5 asking for first alarm for man power for extrication. C5 requesting AMH, they will be responding shortly with a priority one. Assisted AFD.

1:05 p.m. — Walk-in turned in a ring found on the sidewalk, Tunnel Street.

1:21 p.m. — Caller would like to speak to an officer about getting rid of ammo that she found while helping clean out her parents’ house, Walnut Street. Officer secured ammo and transported back to station.

1:38 p.m. — Caller reporting the fox is sleeping in her yard, New Sherborn Road. ACO advised. Sick fox dispatched without incident. Body disposed of in the woods with permission from the homeowner.

2:13 p.m. — Caller would like a welfare check done on her friend that is making Q5 statements, Prospect Street. Located party at AMH with injury. Party placed under section 12.

3:17 p.m. — ER requesting assistance with a male patient. Eric D. Peterson, 43, of Prospect Street was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

3:24 p.m. — Party into the station reporting his neighbor has trailers and there is a male that has gone in and came out with two black backpacks, Marble Street. Party hasn’t seen this male before. Spoke to subject. He opened his camper to air it out and assess the condition. He lives on Grove Street and is looking to move the trailer soon.

4:47 p.m. — Caller reporting he is the property owner and the tenants are moving out and they stated they were going to burn the couch and he advised them not to, Conant Road.

6:21 p.m. — Caller reporting he is receiving threats on Facebook, Harrington Street. Advised of HARPO.

6:53 p.m. — Engine 4 responding for an outside fire, Silver Lake Street.

Monday, August 12

1:13 a.m. — OPD is requesting assistance with an arrest, Main Street. Officers assisted.

2:02 a.m. — Caller is reporting that there is someone in her house, Lake Street. Reporting party asked the officers to move along involved party for the night. She left without incident.
