9 a.m. to noon — Athol Farmers Market, Millers River Environmental Center, 100 Main St., Athol.

11 a.m. — Field Day at Orange Gun Club, off West River Street, Orange. 11 a.m. — clam chowder, hamburg stew; noon - roasted corn; 2 p.m., full chicken barbecue. For tickets, $14, call Mark Kovalsick 978-320-7371.

7-10:30 p.m. — Monadnock Tri-State Dance Club dance, Ellen Lambert Murphy Memorial Community Center, 21 Durkey St., Winchester, NH. Pot luck supper. With live music by Champagne Jam. 7 p.m. — The Tool Town Live 2019 concert series continues at the Uptown Common, near 1500 Main St. Athol. The show will feature classic rock/R&B legends the Terryriffics, with special guest the “Boston Piano Kid” Bradley James opening the show and performing with the group. If there is a chance of rain in the forecast, the concert will be held in Memorial Hall at 584 Main St. Hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, dessert bars and more on sale. Free candy while supplies last.

Sunday, Sept. 1

Tuesday, Sept. 3

1-2 p.m. — Tech Help Tuesdays, at the Athol Public Library. Have a question about your phone, tablet, or apps, etc? Ask the experts. Free, and open to the public. Walk-in, no registration required.

4-7:30 p.m. — Story Walk sponsored by Valuing Our Children. Sign boards with pages from books on them are set up along Millers River Park for participants to read at their own pace. Afterward, participants can do a fun activity in the Children’s Library. No registration. All ages can participate.

4:30 p.m. — Garden Group (Weeding Club) members will meet at the Athol Public Library to share ideas, questions, and refreshments. More info: 978-249-9515.
