Thursday, June 6

8:03 a.m. — Officer wanted. Caller reporting party with a warrant is running up Pleasant Street. Officers responded and arrested Christine A. Lindo, 21, Pleasant Street, Orange, on a warrant and for resisting arrest.

9 a.m. — Several callers wanted the police aware that there is a mama bear in the area with three cubs, Sandrah Drive. Bear has been after bird feeders and trash. Advised to bring in feeders and secure trash so they will move on to area less inhabited, Possibly same bear seen on Shingle Brook Road last month.

9:33 a.m. — Caller advises he was kicked out of West River Street location and seeking officer escort to pick up belongings. Party was contacted and advised that his belongings have already been packed and placed in bags at the bottom of the stairs for him to pick up.

11:17 a.m. — Grove Street caller reporting bear ran off toward cemetery. Officer found small cub running through cemetery. No further action taken.

11:32 a.m. — Suspicious vehicle, East River Street. Gone on arrival.

11:42 a.m. — Notification, East Main Street. Party received a call from party stating he had a tattoo done by subject and he found out that he doesn’t have a licence. Advised to contact the board of health.

1:04 p.m. — Caller traveling south on Wheeler Avenue reported she almost hit a dog in the road. Not the first time she has seen the dog loose. ACO notified.

3:12 p.m. — Report of suspicious auto at East Main Street location. Area checked; unable to locate vehicle.

3:44 p.m. — Report of disturbance, East Main Street. Officer spoke with subject who was involved and was punched in the face. Same would not disclose who punched him.

4:54 p.m. — Call received from state 911 who took call from male stating ‘never mind someone was choking, all set.’ When the party was called back he became very difficult with them and refused to give his name. Address given, and officers advised the male’s wife had choked on some food but is fine. Cleared.

5:01 p.m. — Message received with photos of a white/silver pickup truck driving on Brookside Road this morning and tailgating a school bus. Party got a plate number and requested police keep an eye on it.

7:26 p.m. — Caller reporting several skateboarders on Daniel Shays Highway near Blackington Road on Orange side. They are all at the second brown house; She spoke to them and they advised her they can skate where they want, it’s a public way.

7:31 p.m. — Officer responded to Red Brook Lane to meet the fire department for a welfare check of individual. Neighbor reported that the party has been hospitalized.

7:52 p.m. — Caller reporting they are behind a tow truck with car in tow, South Main Street, and the trailer is weaving all over. Wrecker took a left onto Route 122 heading toward Hunt’s Farm. Area searched, negative contact.

8:23 p.m. — East River Street; reporting party advises one of the parents of one of the kids who stole from the store yesterday was just there and threatened him. Parent left. There was no direct threat made. Wanted on record in case this becomes an ongoing issue.

8:34 p.m. — East River Street party calling about an altercation he had with the owner of store in Orange. Same advised his son was accused of stealing at the store yesterday and did not steal anything so the party decided to go back to the store and speak to the owner who became belligerent and told the party that he was going to call the cops to say that he threatened to murder him and he did not. He would like to give his side of the story to the officer. Options discussed.

9:18 p.m. — Officer out on South Main Street with a wrecker registered to a Chicopee owner. The stop was related to the erratic operation call earlier.

11:19 p.m. — East River Street caller states there is a young woman screaming at someone in a car near the highway garage. Some type of commotion is heard in the background as officer confirms a call was received on this incident and they did not just drive up on it. Adult female and two juvenile females having a disagreement. Same did not believe police were dispatched there, radio transmission proved otherwise to them. Subjects sent on way.

Friday, June 7

6:32 a.m — Suspicious vehicle, Putnam and Fountain streets. Silver Hyundai Elantra has been parked near the intersection for the past two days.
