8:44 a.m. — Officer wanted, South Main Street.  MASSDOT supervisor reports some type of substance in the road near Exit 15. Believed to be sludge from a waste water facility. MASSDOT will clean it up.

12 p.m. — Animal complaint, East River Street. Motorist to the station reporting a loose horse in the area of Daniel Shays Highway on the Athol side of the town line. Crimson Acres contacted and recovered the horse.

1:09 p.m. — Request for escort to Bacon Street while party picks up some property. Done without incident.

1:40 p.m. —  Officer flagged over on Prospect Street by resident reporting they had a Black Lab with an E-Collar show up in the backyard, no tags. Held at West Main Street apartment. Animal control officer retrieved dog.

2:03 p.m. — Animal complaint, West Main Street. ACO advises she picked up a black lab in same area and is en route to the pound.

4:28 p.m. — Caller reporting gold car passing in no passing zone on curves on Route 2. 

4:40 p.m. — Hayden Street caller reporting abandoned motor vehicle on property he is cleaning out from a recent purchase. Will attempt to locate owner.

4:56 p.m. — Welfare check, Memory Lane. Officer found a back door partially opened. House entered and searched. Found a male party sleeping in the basement.

5:08 p.m. — Caller requesting a welfare check on her 80-year-old brother, Eagleville Road. His phone line has been busy for about two hours. Found phone off hook, all set.

5:21 p.m. — Fire alarm, Pleasant Street. Multiple second floor smoke activations. Alarm company requested cancellation after they received proper code.

5:44 p.m. — Male party collapsed on sidewalk near old Bethany Lutheran Church, Cheney Street. Party’s legs locked up and had trouble making it home. Courtesy transport completed.

7:42 p.m. — Motorist stopped for speeding, Daniel Shays Highway. Citation/warning issued.

9:22 p.m.  — Traffic stop for speeding, East River Street. Citation/warning issued.

9:46 p.m. — Caller requesting officer at West Myrtle Street location, stating that around 3 a.m. a group of people cutting through her back yard. Advised caller to contact the police when it happens and if she sees anything strange or suspicious in the meantime.

1:07 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation, East Main Street. Operator stopped for excessive speed and marked lanes violation. Vehicle registration found to be expired and operator did not have it in their possession. Citation issued and vehicle towed.
