Monday, June 10

10:30 a.m. — Baby and Me Storytime; for children up to 36 months old, at the Wheeler Memorial Library. Includes songs, rhymes, bounces and a board book, and 45 minutes of informal playtime. Older and younger siblings welcome. Free. Info: 978-544-2495.

3:30-4:30 p.m. — Read to Emmy the Dog: Sign your child up for a 15-minute session to read to Emmy, a certified and trained therapy dog. Bring your own book or choose one from the library's collection. Call the Wheeler Memorial Library's Children's Room to make a reservation, 978-544-2495.

6:30 p.m. — Petersham Selectboard, regular meeting, town office.

7 p.m. — Athol Annual Town Meeting, in Memorial Hall to take action on 28-article warrant, including town and school operating budgets, and a ban on use of styrofoam containers.

Tuesday, June 11

10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. — Rise and Romp Storytime: For children ages 2 to 5 years old. Read stories, sing songs, learn rhymes, dance, and make an easy craft at the Wheeler Memorial Library, 49 East Main St., Orange. Siblings welcome. Info: 978-544-2495.

3-5 p.m. – Information and Sign-up Session for the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) at Quabbin Harvest,  12 No. Main St., Orange. Information:  978-544-6784.

6 p.m. —  “A Suitable Vengeance” by Elisabeth George, will be the novel to be discussed by the Mystery Discussion Group at the Athol Public Library, 568 Main St. Copies of the book are now available and may be picked up at the desk, or call 978-249-9515 to reserve a copy. Snacks to share will be available.

6-8 p.m. — Tuesday Tales Book Club Fiction: Discussing, “The Night Tiger” by Yangsze Choo at the Moore-Leland Library, 172 Athol Road, Orange. Call 978-544-2495 for more information.

Wednesday, June 12

4 p.m. to dusk — The North Quabbin Cruisers' Wednesday Cruise Night will host Public Safety Appreciation at Market Basket, Route 2A, Athol. The Cruisers will be recognizing all Public Safety personnel: Police, Fire, EMT, Dispatchers, and K-9 units demonstration. Weather permitting. Free. Bring the whole family to show your gratitude and see the emergency vehicles up close.
