Friday, June 14

9:30 a.m. — Story Walk®, sponsored by Valuing Our Children, at the Millers River Park for all ages to read. In inclement weather the story boards are set up throughout the Athol Library. A craft that goes with the story walk is set up in the library for children. No registration necessary.

3:30-5:30 p.m. — Gaming Alliance, in the TeenSpace at Athol Public Library. Try new games, find others who share interests, play cooperatively and in competitions. Featuring the Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Wii. Open to grades 6-12, every other Friday.

4 p.m. — Plant a Butterfly Garden (rescheduled from Thursday), at the Athol Public Library, which is an officially registered Monarch Waystation. Help plant a new garden this year to attract more monarchs. Plants and tools provided. Info: 978-249-9515.

6 p.m. — June Recital of The Dance Studio of Orange, showcasing its older students in ‘Cinderella’ and ‘It’s the Little Things,’ in the Chiles Theater at The Rhodes Arts Center, Northfield Mount Hermon School, 19 Purple Rd., Mount Hermon. Tickets $20. Performances also on Saturday. The Victoria Rose Scholarship Fund committee will sell flowers at both recitals.

Saturday, June 15

9 a.m.-noon — Father’s Day bake sale, Orange United Methodist Church, 104 South Main st., Orange. (Sale will be held inside the church in the event of rain).

10-noon — Free Family Fun Day, Tully Lake Recreation Area, Royalston. Presented by North Quabbin Children’s Health and Wellness System of Care Taskforce. In case of inclement weather, call 978-249-3703.

11 a.m. & 5 p.m. — June Recital of The Dance Studio of Orange, two shows showcasing its older students in ‘Cinderella’ and ‘It’s the Little Things,’ in the Chiles Theater at The Rhodes Arts Center, Northfield Mount Hermon School, 19 Purple Rd., Mount Hermon. Tickets $20.

2-4:30 p.m. — Enchanted Garden Tea, hosted by the Narragansett Historical Society, 1 Boynton Rd., Templeton (on the common). Enjoy a cup of tea or lemonade and dainty treats in the Victorian sunken garden. Play a round of croquet or stroll the garden patch (view fairie houses). Suggested $10 at the door. 6-8 p.m. — Wolf Soul band, playing classic rock, summer concert, Barre Town Common.
