 Wednesday, May 15

10:15 to 11 a.m. — Preschool Story Time: Athol Public Library. Preschool-age children and their caregivers listen to stories, sing, move, and do a craft. No registration necessary.  

1-2:30 p.m. —Movie Showing: People of all ages can stop in to watch the The LEGO Movie 2 – The Second Part (PG), light refreshments will be served thanks to the Friends of APL. No registration required. Athol Public Library.

3:30-4:30 p.m. — Lego Club: For kids ages 5 to 12. Adults may build with their children. Wheeler Memorial Library, 49 East Main St, Orange, 978-544-2495.

5 p.m. — Sharing Our Father’s Bread, community dinner will be served weekly at the St. Francis Church hall, 105 Main St., Athol. The meals are open to the public.

6:30 p.m. — Athol-Royalston Regional School Committee meeting, at the Royalston Community School library.

Thursday, May 16

11- 11:30 a.m. — Baby & Toddler Time: Caregivers and little ones listen to stories, sing, move, socialize, and play. This program is for children up to 36 months; no registration necessary. Athol Public Library.

Friday, May 17

9:30 a.m. to Noon — Story Walk: Story boards are set up in Millers River Park for people of all ages to read; afterward children can make a craft in the Children’s Library. In inclement weather, the story is set up inside the library. This program is made possible by Valuing Our Children of Athol. No registration necessary.

10-11 a.m. — Baby and Toddler Sign Language Classes: Caregivers and children, birth – 36 months old, can register for American Sign Language classes with Bren Rennie. Funded by Valuing Our Children and Thom Western Regional Consultation Program. Space is limited. Please call the Athol Children’s Library to register.  

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Military History Expo, 645 South Main St., Orange. Also May 18 & 19. Info:

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Grand open house, North Quabbin Patch & Family Resource Center, 109 Lumber St., Unit 5, Athol. Ribbon cutting and opening remarks from DCF Commissioner Linda Spears at 11:15. Light refreshments. RSVP Charlene 978-249-8467.

11 a.m.-2 p.m. — Senator Jo Comerford’s team will hold officer hours at the Quabbin Mediation, 13 South Main St., Orange, to speak with constituents.
