Orange Police Log: July 14

12:44 a.m. — Motor vehicle complaint, Memory Lane. Caller reports an SUV drove by yelling obscenities and there appeared to be a couple arguing. Same headed north. Area checked, negative contact.

1:26 a.m. — Noise complaint, South Main street. Report of loud music coming from the fields out by the high school. Area checked, nothing found.

2:31 a.m. — Officer advised he is being flagged down by a group of people at Honey Farms. Officer will be attempting to assist a female who is having some car trouble/flat tire. No spare. She will be staying with the vehicle until the morning when she will attempt to get a new tire. Honey Farms employees stated they are fine with the vehicle staying where it is until then.

8:17 a.m. — Caller concerned because she was in charge of locking the bathrooms at Butterfield Park last night and she couldn’t get one of them locked. Asked that the highway superintendent be notified.

9:04 a.m. — Report of two loose horses in backyard, Dexter Street. At 9:44 a.m.  Ball Street caller reported she is missing two horses and will be en route to Dexter street to retrieve them.

11:42 a.m. — East Main Street caller requests escort to the camper where subject was staying to find a pair of glasses. Done.

12:10 p.m. — Officer flagged over by citizen who reported subject sleeping or passed out in a newer model white pickup truck in the Walmart parking lot. No one in the vehicle. Traffic stop conducted on New Athol road for wellbeing check. No signs of impairment detected. Advised operator of the concerns.

1:12 p.m. — Missing person BOLO issued. Party operating a white Subaru Legacy left Heywood Hospital in Gardner on specific day and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Subject has mental health issues and has recently been in drug rehab. BOLO broadcast to state and local police departments.

3:10 p.m. — Walnut Hill Road; female parties into station requesting an officer regarding medical/possible domestic call from earlier. Officer provided options which all parties understood.

3:20 p.m. — Female into station reporting harassment via text message, Highland Street. Process explained. Party wanted on record in case something happens.

5:09 p.m. — Traffic stop on Daniel Shays Highway, expired registration. Plates seized, citation issued.

7:23 p.m. — Report of two vehicle accident, green car vs. red pickup truck, East Main Street. Caller advised there is debris in the road, and that the green car was turning and the pickup hit the car.

9:17 p.m. — West River Street; caller advises that subject was just at the caller’s residence in a gray Toyota Corolla. He attempted to pull out a sign from the ground and then left the area. Caller states subject has some type of obsession with the caller’s sister and he keeps stopping by, even though she does not live there. Upon officer’s arrival party stated subject left boxes of dog treats on the porch on numerous occasions. Today he taped his house keys to the box of treats with a bow. Officers responded to subject’s residence. After several minutes of knocking, subject opened the upstairs window. He was advised to not return to the property tonight or he would be arrested for trespassing. Caller advised of trespass options.
