FITCHBURG — The Arc of Opportunity will host Where Potential Meets Opportunity on Friday, Oct. 18 at the Great Wolf Lodge, 150 Great Wolf Drive. The event entertains a night of raffles, live and silent auctions, hors d’oeuvres, and generosity. The charity auction benefits The Arc’s Family Supports and Recreation Program. This program receives little government funding yet is an invaluable resource for people with disabilities in Central Massachusetts. Last year, 509 individual weekend experiences provided respite for families in the program.

The Arc recognizes platinum sponsor Workers Credit Union and major sponsors Bowditch Attorneys, Rollstone Bank & Trust, and Natural Selections MA.

Mary Heafy, President & CEO of The Arc of Opportunity said, “The Arc is excited to continue growing the success of this event. Last year, we raised a record $34,600. I believe, with generosity, we will set another record for the Family Supports and Recreation Program. In 2018, the Family Support program helped 35 individuals to register to vote and cast their first votes on Election Day. In addition, participants in this program organized six Giving Trees that provided holiday joy to 160 local children in need. The Arc would not be the leading resource for people with disabilities without the generosity of our supporters and community partners.”

Those interested in attending can purchase tickets online for $30 per person or $200 per table of eight. Visit for more information. For in-kind or financial contributions, contact Colby O’Brien by email or by phone (978) 343-6662.
