Saturday, Dec. 1

8 a.m. 2 p.m. — Christmas Bazaar, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 15 Park Ave., Athol. Snack bar, raffles, wreaths, crafts, cookies, Santa, Christmas room, door prizes. Canadian pork pies, (pre-order) 978-575-1260.

9 a.m to noon — Bottle and Can Drive, to benefit the Athol High School After Prom Party. Drop off returnable cans and bottles at the site of the former Lyman Ward School, across from Mr. Mike’s, uptown Athol.

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. —  St. Martin's Church Holiday Fair, at the American Legion Hall, 3 Central St., Baldwinville. Theme baskets, crafts.Also, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 2.

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. — 16th annual Petersham Holiday Art & Fine Craft Sale, Petersham Town Hall on the Common. Santa will visit from 10-noon. Live music by Myra and Bill MacLeod.

4:30 p.m. — Memory Tree lighting ceremony, on the Phillipston Common. After the singing of a Christmas carol, participants move inside the church for the annual Alphonse Chartier Sr. Public Service Award ceremony, with Senator Anne Gobi and Rep.
